At all times, our educational programs support our consulting efforts.

Many times we find that the education originally provided is outdated, or turnover has taken it's toll. We also find that in the absence of formal training, "seat of the pants" approaches are often the norm. All of which can lead to reduced efficiencies which dramatically effect the bottom line over time.

Other times, we find clients staffed with employees that are good, hard workers, but lack specific skills. One of our principles is that it is easier to train a good person a specific skill, than it is to hire the skill and change the person.

APICS Education has been a major part of our education and continues to be so today. MMS can bring APICS training in-house to your team during normal business hours or evening hours.

APICS - Fundamentals | APICS - CPIM | APICS - Instructor Credentials

APICS training provides value to your firm regardless of the stage of implementation you find yourself.

Theoretically, your organization should have completed APICS training before selecting the ERP application software. In addition, your implementation team should include at least one APICS CPIM certified member. In any case, by learning about resource management, your team will utilize your ERP system at a much higher level resulting in increased pay offs in a short period of time.

Both APICS Fundamental and CPIM Training are designed to be traditional, instructor led classroom training courses.

APICS - Fundamentals

APICS Fundamentals was introduced by APICS in September 2000. It is designed for those new to the manufacturing planning and control environment, that necessarily do not want to become certified.

We are qualified to instruct the four areas of APICS Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management education:

• Inventory Control.
• Planning.
• Manufacturing Control.
• Operations Management.

APICS - Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

The APICS CPIM program is the standard for manufacturing professionals. Becoming certified as a Production and Inventory Control specialist labels you as a serious professional that understands manufacturing control systems.

The CPIM program was completely revamped in September 2000. William R. Elder is qualified to instruct the five areas of CPIM education:

• Basics of Supply Chain Management.
• Master Planning of Resources.
• Detailed Scheduling and Planning.
• Execution and Control of Operations.
• Strategic Management of Resources.

We are also qualified to teach the former CPIM Certification Review Course on Just in Time. This course is still a great primer on lean manufacturing.
